13. Well, the air-filled bags resist crushing, so fewer chips are broken. And opaque bags resist sunlight damage.

The guys who fill the racks with these bags *REALLY* try to crush them down to fit more in, which partially defeats the purpose. I think this practice may be what caused the air-filled bags in the first place.

The bags are sold by weight, BTW.
