Mitch Santos was this California surfer dude the district hired because he was so awesome of a volleyball coach. They got their moneys worth on that one because until recently the only sport we ever won the state tournament in was volleyball.
Anyway, Mitchs science classes were fun in part because he would work real-world subjects - read: surfing - into them.

Probably German--most took Spanish, so limited class size and we all went by German names.
