3. I never get surprised when some showbiz personality comes out Republican

Republicans happen. Lots of otherwise smart people turn off their critical factors when the napalm of politics gets into their veins. And it's not just Republicans. Not a few Dems on this very site profess the most and open minded views toward humanity in general and a love of the Bill of Rights, and then start spewing out the ugliest bile against the Mormon Church--strangely forgetting what the Udall family has meant to this country.

When politics is on the menu, all kinds of smart people turn into idiots.
