were not endless workplace homicides as a result of the unending harassment. In one casino where I worked, the bar manager (not my department) was a true sexual predator (again, long before sexual harassment laws). A number of the women came to me about him, knowing that I had a reputation for fixing things. I very calmly explained to him that if I heard so much as a hint of a whisper that he was doing it again, as I assured him I WOULD hear, he and I would be having a little chat in the back alley, and I smiled at him. For the rest of the time I was there, he behaved, and did his best to avoid me.
