12. note: 1 standard modern loco can only handle 50 cars .

so most trains have 2 to four locos and if really really long trains 1 or 2 in the middle of the train or said saime at the end . so if one or 2 loco faults out and shutdown. all the train driver can do is seperate the train cars at the crossings. when i was younger , in the town where i lived a cop gave a train driver a ticket for fouling crossings too long. so as i said , if 2 locos fault out and shutdown . you aint going anywhere as the brakes lock on. and the crew have to recharge the lines etc .
