If you haven't already I'd have your husband get a prescription for Paxlovid. My husband got COVID for the first time about 3 months ago. Got him on Paxlovid as soon as he tested positive. He only had a fever for about 2 days and a slight cough for about a week.
We both work from home so couldn't really avoid each other, but wore masks when in close proximity and he kept his office door closed. We also had two HEPA filter air purifiers going, one in his office and one in mine.
I never got COVID and my husband's symptoms were very mild.

Sorry to hear that. Paxlovid taken early on really helped lessen my symptoms. Dr called in an RX when I called.

Not whining. It is legitimate fear/ concern to get sick with covid period. Best wishes for all to get through it.

Good luck. If it helps, I keep reading that a mouthwash containing CPC and saline nasal spray helps get it over
