The old houses in my neighborhood have gas, the townhouses are total electric.
I wouldn't have a electric stove or hot water heater.
During hurricanes having a gas stove is import.
The stove top is still there, just light a match.

Gas, w/ electric start. I use the range but not the oven in power outages.

We have electric, but I would 100% prefer a gas stove, for all the reasons above (plus "instant on")

Gas cooktop. Built the house 2011 to replace the one that burned down. It had gas cooktop, too.

Gas is supplied as a utility where I live. It would likely be shut off in a major earthquake.
