When my uncle died, his unpleasant wife was just going to drop off his pets at some shelter. Family members took the two dogs, so I agreed to take the cats. I knew the gray tabby, but the other one was a mystery to me. I just knew that "it" was friendly. That turned out to be my beloved Rhiannon.

And when Rhiannon had to spend two nights at the vet's, I couldn't help being drawn to another black cat who always seemed to be around. Turned out she'd been abandoned and it took me four months of feeding her and a have-a-heart trap to finally bring her inside. She was a real scaredy cat, got her a little cat "igloo" because she did a lot of hiding. But after she was examined by the vet and had necessary dental surgery, she became much calmer and friendlier. Poor kitty must have been in pain.

So I tend to advocate for the black kittehs. Two of my friends have adopted black kittens. And I do remember yours...
