In early October I went to buy a pumpkin at Walmart. It was in the produce department, and I was buying it to cook it and harvest the seeds. It rang up as a taxable item. I told them food is not taxable in my state, and refused to pay for it. So I handed it back to the clerk.

Maybe Walmart was trying to recoup some tariff money? Were these Canadian pumpkins? I have no idea.
