My mother and I used to go to Las Vegas every year. One time, the week before Christmas, it was 57° when we left Detroit and 39° and snowing in Vegas. They were big wimpy snowflakes, but it was snowing all the same. We had to keep circling the airport before we landed. Practically the whole town was shut down; flights were canceled, nobody came out, etc. One day, we were practically the only people walking down the Strip. The big fat wimpy snowflakes were no big deal to us. There wasn't any accumulation in Vegas, but we saw on the news that there was in Henderson. People were using brooms and mops to get the snow off their sidewalks and driveways! It was hilarious. Our flight home five days later was delayed but not canceled like so many others all week, thank goodness! I'll never forget that experience.
