Is there a term for the phobia... [View all]

The phobia that, at the end of a face-to-face interaction, the other party will come at you with (and expect you to reciprocate) a “cool” handshake?

Every so often a well-meaning customer or acquaintance will deploy such a handshake, and I have to wonder what in my bearing or demeanor makes them think that I’m equipped to return such a gesture.

I’m many things, but cool I ain’t.
