5. Let me stand up for the little Rats uhm I mean cute doggies

Chihuahuas are very possessive and protective of their owners, although the worst of those traits can be trained out of them.
They are so incredibly smart, playful, and loyal.

When I first got to Illinois, the lady I stayed with had ChiChi, a twelve year old Chihuahua and she was such an amazing animal. She did tricks, begged like a master, barked her friggin head off at the drop of a dust particle, and she was at my hip from the day I arrived, (I am a true SAP) every waking hour of the day excepting one singular circumstance:
Tracy would get too warm with ChiChi on her lap all the time so she'd shoo her off quite regularly, where my lap was an 24/7 open door policy kind of thing.
So here's the cute thing; for the hundreds of days she sat on my lap, sometimes for hours at a time, she always had her radar on for mommy. The second Tracy would even motion her over, she'd dump me like a bad habit and race to her lap like it was a steak bone.

I never had much respect for Chihuahuas until I lived with one. If I could afford one, I d get it in a heartbeat.
