I have been dazzled by O'Toole since first seeing him in Lawrence of Arabia. Forget that he was a foot taller than the real Awrence (intentional, if you've seen the film), or that Marlon Brando and Albert Finney were first choices for the role. O'Toole was iconic. Mr. pig and I quote Awrence script back and forth all the time.

Amazing that he's made it to 80, considering his epic drinking and health problems. But he's outlived Burton, Harris and other contemporaries.

Love him. Saw him a couple of times onstage in London.
