Oregon / Washington Coast [View all]

Leaving the Gorge on the way to the Coast you’ll pass Multnomah Falls. At 620 feet, it’s Oregon’s tallest.

Approaching Astoria, these ubiquitous road signs remind you that you’re on the Lewis & Clark Trail. Capt William Clark points the way wearing a tri-cornered hat while Meriwether Lewis sports the coon skin cap.

On the Oregon side of the Columbia you can visit their salt works at Seaside or a recreation of Ft. Clatsop near Astoria.

Crossing the Astoria Megler Bridge to Washington,

you can visit their encampments at Dismal Nitch and Cape Disappointment.

Cape Disappointment Light House

Captain William Clark first saw the Pacific at Long Beach, WA.

64 and foggy here. Heading south today.
