In reply to the discussion: I got a Keurig for Christmas... [View all]MadrasT
(7,237 posts)30. I LOVE MINE!!!
But I don't like the waste of all the little plastic cups and the refillable pod that came with mine is very messy.
I am going to check out the EZ-Cup with paper filters that someone linked in a previous reply!!! It would be great if I could find a refillable option that worked better for me.
I have been finding the disposable pre-filled cups for about 50 cents each in one of the local grocery stores. (36 cups, I think it is like 9 flavors x 4 cups each, for $17.99). Expensive, but cheaper than the $1.50 I was spending at the convenience store.
I live alone so I was always brewing too much coffee and wasting it.
Since each cup is fresh brewed, it's also really great to have your 3rd cup on a Sunday morning taste as super-fresh as the first!
(The hot apple cider pods are kind of nice, too!)
