4. I take photos and collect rain samples from any tropical systems that impact SE Michigan.

I'm a weather watcher, enjoy storms, and started saving mementos from any of the former hurricanes and tropical storms that make their way to SE Michigan. The past few years have been dull, not much has made it here. I've gotten some great photos of spiral bands from some past storms, though. And, little vials of water from various ones.

My favorite -- Hurricane Dennis that made it here as an intense rainstorm in July of 2005, dropping almost 6 inches of rain in a few hours on a Saturday morning, accompanied by some of the most intense lightning I can remember.
