In reply to the discussion: Post a tune that gives you happy feet [View all]Brother Buzz
(39,805 posts)60. A founding member of the Cheap Suit Serenaders hipped me
I first listened to it on a fine old 78rpm, with all the hisses and pops. Covering old blues songs with updated lyrics was not uncommon back in the days. To wit:
The Cheap Suit Serenaders covered some of Leroy Shield's music. Beau Hunks were impressed and contacted them, looking for sheet music and to share insight and knowledge. Leroy Shield's studio music was never published so there was none to be found - The Beau Hunks learned it by watching a lot of old films. They nailed it.
The founding member of the Cheap Suits burned me a copy of The Beau Hunks first album. I gave it to my aging Pops. Pops loved it and rediscovered his 'Happy feet'.
