between Germany and America with her stepdad's postings. Her German accent, while I could hear
hints of it now and then, was virtually nonexistent for most people.

Now I get personal (but cute, I hope). Her name for, ahem... Li'l MiddleFingerMom was Fido. For the
longest time, I just accepted that... but one day asked her, you know... why.

She had read a book and had been impressed with one of the character's explanation of the Sicilian
version of "La petite mort".

The book? "The Godfather". The character? Vito Corleone.
