from using the emergency rooms for primary care. ED's are not set up to provide primary care, and the unpaid medical expenses generated this way get written off and passed on to the tax payer.

Our fairly generous grant for care saves the taxpayers a lot of money.

So would single-payer, but the phrase 'socialized medicine' has done its damage.

I wish I could claim the mantle of saintly sacrifice, but the truth is, I love what I do. And I love my patients. Nobody had better disrespect the homeless in my presence, or they'll get an earful.
