39. Old food!!

I've got old expired canned goods: tomato sauce, condensed milk, pumpkin that I loath getting rid of. I can't decided what to do with them.

Open the cans, dump the food in the compost pile and recycle the cans?
Open the cans, throw the food away and recycle the cans?
Throw the unopened cans in the garbage?

I bought this stuff in bulk years ago and I have a lot of it.
