10. I quit smoking in 1981 and never looked back....

Jan 2012

I used to think I had an addictive personality, but as I aged, I realized my cravings were not that strong, and a lot of what I thought I couldn't do without was merely consumed from habit or boredom. I don't crave junk food, and long ago gave up drugs (only used for recreation when we went to clubs, or to get up in the morning and go to work AFTER the clubbing). The past couple weeks, I decided to see if I could live without alcohol, and I don't miss it at all.

But...and this is one big but!...all my ability to leave behind these substances is totally negated by my obsession and addiction to...COFFEE. I seriously would give up food, sex, and even a few of my friends before I'd let anyone take away my cafe latte.
