107. I was 12 and he was 14

We were at the stock car races, where our respective dads raced, and after a short conversation the night I met him, he grabbed me and kissed me, totally unexpectedly. I was really too shocked to respond. The next week at school, he carried my books for me, but it was a short week and we went to my grandparents the next weekend. By the time I got back in town, I was so sick with asthma that I was put in the hospital for the first time, and by the time I got out I was skinny as a rail and sickly looking. My first day back at school I saw him with another girl, and the next time I went to the races he was with yet another girl, and I had my first broken heart.
