(72,300 posts)26. My neighbors insist in cutting the grass at 8 AM.
Almost everyone is retired. An extra hour of listening to the birds sing instead of gas engines and leaf blowers (blowing away the cut grass) would be appreciated.

our lawn is mostly weeds. they are green and look OK when mowed. 'nuff said!

Plant the whole thing with trees. Mother Nature will love you. Mulch all over to kill the grass.

i like the weeds / ground cover to be a uniform height. there is some grass out there too.

14.5 hours of mowing every week for me. Like you I refuse to mow more frequently. I LIKE dandelions!
