Yeah ... LOTS of those ...

Mississippi Avenue is another awesome neighborhood, with lots of kitschy shops and cafes .... Mississippi Studios has regular music concerts, and Mississippi Marketplace has a food cart pod along with a german style pub, Prost!. More food cart heaven at SW 9th and Washington, and dotting various little lots around town ....

I live near NW23rd ... Mucho ambiance and neighborhood character here ... pubs, cafes, restaurants, etc, and it all lies at the end of the streetcar line .... I personally recommend Escape from New York Pizza and Moonstruck Chocolatiers on NW23rd ...

NW21st also has a similar vibe, and one can find the BEST happy hour at Bartini's at NW21st and Glisan ... The International Rose Test Garden and the Japanese Garden are both at Washington Park, which is walkably close to NW23rd ...

I would also recommend taking in a soccer match at Jeld Wen Field - The Timbers Army brings a lot of joy to the stadium, and you are guaranteed a raucous experience there ...

Saturday Markets by Skidmore Fountain, Farmer's Market at South Park Blocks, and, don't forget to waste a couple of hours at Pioneer Courthouse Square ... Riding around on the MAX trains on an all day pass is a reasonably priced way to just get a lay of the land ...
