My older sister had a twin which embedded into her body (ectopic). She never knew until her early 20's when they found the fetus during a hysterectomy.

The hospital in San Fransisco had it as a teaching specimen at one time. It has been over 40 years ago, so it is not such an usual occurrence these days.

That may explain why she always seems to be yearning for something we could never put a finger on.
