24. I have the same problem

with Facebook on my birthday.

Usually I do show my birthdate on my profile, until about a week before my actual birthday. Then I remove it until a day or two after, when I put it back on. That doesn't prevent people who know it's my birthday from wishing me a happy birthday, but one thing it does do is make me believe that anyone who didn't had no idea that it was my birthday.

See, because it's not the ones who do wish me a happy birthday. It's the ones who don't...that's what hurts my feelings.

So I fool myself into thinking that the ones who don't really do care but just didn't know.

sigh...
