I'm coming to learn that one of the corner stones of my emotional struggles is obsession. I don't have OCD but I'm very much a perfectionist and when I get into something it does become a very conscious obsession. This has some very positive aspects to it, I've always done very well in school, I have the will power to power through things that others might not be able too. I can harness this obsession to accomplish things. The flip side is that it can very much destroy you whole life as well.
