I still do metal shows up at Glen Helen (or whatever it's called these days). Shows like OzzFest and Mayhem. Second stage is festival. Main stage is seating. I can handle a couple hours of standing near the back of the crush, knowing that I have real good seats coming up. (That's another thing I'm too old for: lawn tickets.) If the whole thing was festival, I'd stay home.

Case in point: I'm going to Summer Slaughter today at The Observatory in OC. No seats. Starts at 3pm. Not a chance in hell I'm standing around for eight hours till the headliner comes on. So sorry, Dillinger Escape Plan, but I got my own escape plan. I'm leaving right after my nephew's band plays. I gotta work tomorrow to pay for my health insurance, know'm say'n?
