It's all so stupid and wouldn't have happened if I had the sense to just take the ring off after the injury and before the swelling started. This happened once before when I had two mosquito bites on my left hand and the swelling started. A doc friend of ours took a look at it and warned me about taking my rings off after some event that would cause swelling or "they'll have to cut them off in the ER."
I felt so stupid...
