I have a completely different experience in my life as I got my degree in electrical engineering four years after finishing HS. I loved the Calculus classes, though I did enjoy the beer nights on Wed and Friday nights down at the local watering hole.

You are correct when you say that you have to want to learn the material and bust your ass to figure it out.

It's amazing what a college degree can do to help your career!
