1. It may have something to do with the display mode that the TV is set in.

As you may be aware, there are various ratios such as 4:3 and 16: 9 for the screen configurations. If the display mode is set such that it takes up the entire width of the screen and doesn't allow for small amounts of black screen at the edges of the picture then the score displays will be cropped off. It may also cause tickers at either the top or the bottom of the screen to be cropped from the picture.

I'm not certain if that is the case now, but I certainly ran into that problem about three years ago when I finally moved from a CRT TV to a flat-screen.
