And before you start your flamethrowers, know that I am a lifelong Texan and a third generation liberal Democrat. There are lots of good people here, it's just that 99% of them are in cities, and I'm in the country. I know of three other white Democrats in this town of 1,500. And before you flame about white Democrats, AFAIK all the African-Americans vote Democratic and the demographics are like this:

The racial makeup of the city was 63.27% White, 34.94% African American, 0.62% Native American, 0.07% Asian, 0.07% Pacific Islander, 0.83% from other races, and 0.21% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.65% of the population.

The county and the Congressional District went for McCain in 2008 and Romney in 2012.
