27. 5½ miles to Cottonwood Lakes in Lone Pine, CA.

One of the most beautiful places on earth. You have to be very physically fit because the last of it is up a wicked switchback up to Cottonwood Lakes, which are at 11,800 foot elevation. They are the only place you will find golden trout. (That is, used to be until Chuck Yeager transplanted them in New Mexico.)
