6. I remember something similar with Robert Altman and "MASH."

He got his son to write the lyrics for "Suicide is Painless" as part of his deal, just so he could earn a quick buck.

He had no idea that they would do a TV show and use the theme.

He said in an interview once that it "wasn't fair. My kid made more money off of MASH than I did for directing the movie!"
