5. The hospital where my Dad was last month was completely confusing

The parking garage had its own elevators that were floors 1 through 5. Level 1 on the parking garage was Ground floor in the main part of the hospital where the floors ran Ground, then 1 through 6. But if you walked the length of the Ground floor to the wing where Dad's room was, you were on Floor 2 and could take the elevator from there down to the first floor or up to floors 3 to 6.

The level that was First floor in the parking garage, Ground floor on the main wing, and Second floor on the other side of the hospital was the only level that connected directly between the various building sections. It was very confusing.
