Fortunately I ran into (literally, he was crossing the street and I hit him with my H2 Hummer) this nice asian wood carver. After he was released from the ER I took him to a show at Radio City Music Hall to kinda make up for running him over. He was very grateful and offered to make dinner for us both with the main course being cornflake crusted chicken. I must admit that the chicken was the best I had ever had, but what really impressed me were the hundreds of hours of old tapes he had of his days as a radio host. He had been part of a team with a remarkable woman (that he swore was not his wife) and we listened to these tapes until the sun came up.

I'll never forget my little friend, and will always think of him as I last saw him, squatting on the floor of his apartment carving little busts of Andy Warhol out of discarded table legs.
