There comes a time when lifting that motor and pulling that string gets to be FULL OF SHEET!1 You know that nationally known garden tiller with the commercial showing an elderly lady toting that barge -- what's that old lady got that *I* don't?!1 I fell for it and its hefty price tag several years ago, and used it, like, once or twice per year, and besides being low tech in the digital department, I ain't a handy tools dude in the maintenance department neither. And last year, at the end of its career, that tiller's wire got disconnected in mid-till and there was no way to turn off the vicious motor and tines except to run all the gasoline out, over a half hour of teeth chattering, rock throwing. And the plastic carrying handle broke from brittle age.

But I need to cut a ring around the bushes for contained deep watering, and voila, all these years of diminishing strength in string-pulling, and a grouchy saleswoman at the local big box place told me all her products in big box stock on hand are CRAP and that the GOOD ones are all online (via her big box outlet). And sure enough, there was this 6.5 amp comparable to my gas motor at half the price. Just tried it and almost all of my yearly tasks are done in about 45 minutes, with NO string pulling.

The cord takes extra care not to trip on or to slice through with the machine, but the easy start is worth it so far. I was already used to the cord with the weedeater. The only motor left is the mower, but perhaps a battery one of those will be the next stage. Will update if extremities go missing!1 Risk the wrath of Persephone to convince me otherwise.
