Somehow, I think he was a better actor than his movies but they were wonderfully schlocky. I loved the Tingler, The house On Haunted Hill, and the House Of Wax. My favorite was The Last Man On Earth (1964), a zombie picture that had a definite influence on the later Night Of The Living Dead (based on the novel I Am Legend by Richard Matheson).
