7. Hi everybody

I mostly lurk, but I post every once in a while, so here goes.

I live in Iowa, so I've met pretty much every democratic presidential candidate since Mondale. I got my photo in the newspaper talking to the libertarian candidate during his visit to my high school (I was asking him about legalization of drugs, of course).

I used to be on my county central committee until real life activities took over my free time. Our 11 y.o boy and 9 y.o. girl keep us busy with football, basketball, volleyball, dance, tumbling, piano...it never stops.

I love almost all music (including Rush!), and I'm currently on a kick where I fluctuate between playing Scandinavian death metal and 20s-30s jazz & swing while I'm at work.

We have 2 black cats - one fuzzy and one smooth & shiny. We had golden retrievers for years, and we're planning to get a puppy this summer, though the break from dog hair has been kind of nice.

I kinda like DU3, but I've only been on jury duty once, darn it.
