11. Hedgehog here - living with my husband in Upstate New York in the Lake Ontario Snow Belt

We have an old farm house with 60 acres out back. The farmer planted Christmas trees around 1951, but never harvested them, so we mostly have mixed woods full of deer, raccoons, skunks, possums, coyotes, foxes, turkeys and grouse. Currently we have 2 dogs, 2 cats and about 16 chickens - migrating hawks and eagles took out most of my flock this Fall!

I have a degree in mechanical engineering, but stayed home until my youngest started school. I have 2 sons and 4 daughters - all out working or going to college.

I spent six years working at a steel mill, got laid off, worked as a warehouse supervisor, production supervisor at a plating plant and inspected onions at a local packing house. Right now I work from home doing computer assisted drafting.

Forgot to mention - I discovered DU while on break at the warehouse following primary returns back in 2004.
