As soon as I had property where I could keep a horse, I adopted one from the county. I couldn't afford a good horse, but I got a sweet older Arabian mare who was very good on trails. She was my baby until I was disabled and could no longer afford to hay her year-round (not enough pasture here)...so I am sans horse again and really miss her. I have Nigerian goats now and I love them but they just aren't the same, and you can't ride them. I have been riding horses since I was 11 and I don't know how anyone can live without them. They are really the most beautiful creature on earth. Just look at this picture (not mine). How can anyone see this photo and not just fall in love with the beauty that horses are.
