My new Guilty Pleasure: Man vs Food. The Travel Channel [View all]

Protagonist(?) Adam Richman travels around the U.S, takeing on various ridiculously belt popping, gut busting, not-at-all-healthy food 'challenges'.

You know...the 72 oz. sirloin that, if you can eat it within one hour, it's free AND you get your photo on the 'Wall of Fame'.
The 5 Pound Burger.
The Yard Wide Pizza.
etc.
woohoo

He reminds me of a slightly chubby Robert Downey, Jr.
Seeing the crap he puts away, I'm astounded that he's only slightly chubby.

The guy is witty and fast on his feet and kind of endearing.
I don't think the show has writers.
His comments/patter/schtik seem to be absolutely spontaneous.

If you can get past the calories and cholesterol, it's a fun show.
And you see some interesting restaurants and people.
An almost 3 foot long hotdog piled with chili, cheese, grilled onions, etc., etc., eaten at Alice Cooper's Cooperstown restaurant, WITH Alice Cooper?
