I am 72 years old now. When I was a little girl, my mother ordered a Claxton fruitcake every year. They have been around a very long time. I never could understand why people make jokes about fruitcake. If I had to choose my favorite cake, it would be a fruitcake. Of course, not all fruitcakes are created equal. Claxton is terrific. Hecka of a lot of calories, though.
