(36,925 posts)59. Here's some advice I didn't get until AFTER the prep
The nurse told me I had to drink all of the prep. The next day the doctor said there was no need to drink any more prep so long as what's coming out in the toilet runs clear. The goal is to make your colon clean as a whistle so they can get good pictures when they stick the camera up yer ass. Once it's clean, the job is done.

Yeah, the fasting. I'll get through the day Friday okay... I'm a HUGE water and Iced Tea guy.

I second that suggestion about eating light for a couple of days before fasting! It helps.
