Handmade is not my real name and I am not 34. I was born and raised in Michigan but I have called Vermont home for 30 years (my house is in the Northeast Kingdom and is rented out to a real nice couple with 2 kids) but work a job now that keeps me “on the road” traveling throughout the United States 50 weeks out of the year with my partner (Norristown, PA presently). Organic farming is my real passion but I haven’t got the money to buy the farm and land (I would be out in the field working instead of here if I had the land). I used to teach (licensed 7-12 social studies) and then studied at seminary where I learned to be an Atheist. I have birthed 5 children (all born at home) but in the past have “taken in” and cared for many more than that.
I first voted the year after the 26th Amendment was adopted and haven’t missed a vote since (mostly democrats but a few independents). I used to do it all but my present day job disallows most earnest ventures. I like getting old as I have an excuse for being a “bitchy old lady”. I take photographs, travel with my sewing machine and make clothing and ‘stuff’ from recycled fabric. I believe in equal rights and freedom to assemble. I love slam poetry and old jazz. I hang out in the lounge once in awhile but rarely post. What did I miss?
