I still don't get it, tho. I mean, he was embarrassed by conservatives and Teapers, so he became a liberal? What the hell? There's all kinds of freaks and goofballs on our side of the aisle. That doesn't make me want to become a wingnut. How does the fact that some conservatives are patently insane and recklessly irresponsible make someone give up their ideology about, say, welfare reform or the inheritence tax?

It seems flaky to me.
