(22,239 posts)67. I grew up about 20 miles from that area.
There were springs when our grass was higher than our knees waiting for it dry out enough to cut. After about three weeks in that climate without having the grass cut, a tractor would have been a gift from God trying to mow the grass in 95 degree weather with 100 percent humidity. By the time you would get done, it was time to start over on the first part again.
I miss the weather there, but damn, I hated mowing the lawn with push mower.
