when I was a child, I was convinced I could grow birds from bird seed

Other musings from childhood...

Baby chicks are yellow. Egg yolks are yellow. How did a liquid egg yolk turn into a solid chicken...


Daschunds...another name for them is "weiner dogs". Or "hot dog dogs". When mom served hotdogs and beans for supper, which end of the hotdog (which everyone knew was made from the weiner dog's tail!) was closer to his ass? It was a question that bothered me, so for years I never ate the ends of a hotdog.

I'm sure my parents (who didn't know of my dilemma) must have thought I was a very odd child...
