I couldn't watch the Tonight Show after he left-- it just wasn't the same. And even in the final years, when there were so many guest hosts, I had a hard time watching it if he wasn't hosting it.

And if he didn't have Carnac the Magnificent on at some time during the show, I would be very disappointed!
