(3,581 posts)41. Hey, I was having blue screen problems myself a week ago! Here's how I cured it
with advice posted in DU's computer help group: I'm running windows 7. I downloaded Malwarebytes (free program), ran the update, and did a complete scan. It found several bad boys, which I deleted. I then downloaded Microsoft security essentials software (also free), disabled my lame security program, updated the Microsoft SE software and ran a full scan. It found two really bad programs: Win32/Homekeylogger (yikes! very bad!) and Win32/Mailpassview (also very bad). These were deleted and I've seen no more blue screen since. Hope this helps!
